I was the president of Pakistan's first and largest User Experience conference. A gathering of UX Professionals from Pakistan and around the world to discuss new topics every year to make the global design community better.
Research Assistant - Computer Vision Lab

I worked in the Computer Vision lab at LUMS. Our main area of research was 3D scene segmentation, classification and reconstruction using LiDAR data which involved a thorough use of Computer Vision and Deep Learning.

Our work focuses on using a novel Hierarchical Tree model to segment point clouds of Architectural models in the most efficient way to be easily classified.
Outdoor Scene Segmentation and Reconstruction using LiDAR data - Pacific Graphics 2017

Our work focuses on the digital preservation of Heritage sites using Artificial intelligence and Computer Graphics. We collect the LiDAR data and process that data into our novel algorithms and use AI to classify individual components of the site and finally the automated digital structures are erected using our novel algorithm.
This process takes a real world sites and preserves it in the digital realm. The end product can easily be used to make digital walkthroughs and even virtual reality experiences for the audiences and generations to come. Another interesting aspect of our work is that we can change the type of architecture with the click of a button e.g we can view a Mughal era mosque in the assets of the trinity church. This is a turning point in digital heritage preservation and we have several publications in this area as well.
